Ingredients

  • 1 Le Grilled (Nature or Lemon & Pepper, according to personal preference)
  • 5 potatoes (cooked and peeled)
  • 2 red onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 green chili
  • 1 cup green peas (thawed)
  • 1.5 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp coriander seeds (crushed)
  • 1 tbsp cumin paprika powder
  • 1.5 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 Sheets pastry dough
  • 1 bowl cold water
  • 4-6 tbsp La Cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Cut each disc of Le Grilled into 8 even-sized pieces. Cut in half and then slice along the length before cutting in half again.
  3. Mash the potatoes in a bowl. Add onions, chili, peas, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, and salt. Mix well to form a nice and smooth filling.
  4. Roll out the pastry sheets and use a circular pastry cutter or simply a saucepan lid to cut out circles and semicircles from the pastry sheets.
  5. Use a knife to divide the cutout circles into half. You should end up with 16 semi-circles of the pastry sheet.
  6. Put 1 tbsp of filling in the center of each sheet, and press a piece of Le Grilled on top of it.
  7. Fold the straight edges over the filling and stick them together using cold water.
  8. Now use cold water on the open ends of the samosa and stick these together by pinching the edges between your fingers. Repeat for each samosa.
  9. Transfer them to a baking tray and brush with La Cooking. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the samosas look golden brown and shiny.
  10. Allow the samosas to cool down on a rack slightly before serving with your favorite dip! We used a green chutney. Enjoy!

Versatile

I love Le Grilled because it’s ultra yummy, super versatile, and works perfectly on its own, or in a variety of recipes where you like your hot cheese to keep its texture!

It's a flavor journey like no other, where traditional Indian spices meet the creamy richness of Le Grilled!
